simon phillips studio kit

Post by AndyD »

Hi, im new to all this so will have many questions to come i guess. but for now, im trying to install the simon phillips studio trial pack. and it gets as far as unable to install right at the end. is this because im trying to install it to run on the trial version of cubase? or is it because it won't run on GA5?

any advice please?

Not sure about your first questions but I can confirm Simon Phillips studio drums (full version) definitely runs on both GASE5 and GA5. I ran it on SE5 for a while and have just upgraded to GA5 and it works here as well. cheers :)

Simon Phillips Hihat CC 4

I’ve been trying to do the same with SP jazz Drums Library
by default, HiHat open-close is controlled by CC1 Modulation wheel . The manual says , it’s possible to reassign it to CC4 to control that function.
I was wondering if I could control it with my Expression Pedal CC11 . So I can use both hands to play drums on my keyboard and hihat open-close function with the Expression Pedal. I haven’t been able to figure that out.
Do you guys have any Idea?
Any help is appreciated.
thanks!
