What is the 'C' on the amplitude scale?

What is the 'C' on the amplitude scale?

There is no info popup for this and no mention that I can find in the manual. What is it for?

If you have a Stereo Track, you get a R and an L instead of a C. I still don't know what C means, but it shows on a Mono Track.

Maybe Center?

Center, of course. Never thought of that in mono cases before.
